ACNielsen HCI Les Leathem, Senior Vice President/Marketing and Sales
Les Leathem has 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, of which nearly 10 years have been in
the pharmaceutical market research arena, and is senior vice president of ACNielsen HCI. In this capacity,
Mr. Leathem is responsible for working with clients to demonstrate the effectiveness of promotional efforts
and sales response to promotion and for directing, growing and positioning the company for future success.

Prior to joining ACNielsen HCI in 1994, Mr. Leathem was vice president, account supervisor at
Wm. Douglas McAdams, a leading advertising agency.
Before working for the advertising agency, Mr. Leathem was employed by Janssen Pharmaceutica, where he
quickly climbed through the corporate ranks. From sales representative to product manager and on to
product director in Product Management and New Products, Mr. Leathem was responsible for the mycology
and allergy franchises and launched two mycology products (Nizoral® Cream and Shampoo) and the
nonsedating antihistamine Hismanal®.
Mr. Leathem started his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1978 as a sales representative at
Wm. H. Rorer, Inc., now Sanofi-Aventis.
Mr. Leathem graduated from the University of New Orleans and has a bachelor of arts degree in Biology.
He is a member of the Healthcare Marketing and Communications Council (HMCC) and the Pharmaceutical
Marketing Research Group (PMRG).
